Malachi 3:2

🔥 When the prophet Malachi spoke these words, he was not describing a God who comes to entertain or impress. He was describing a holy God who comes to purify His people. A refiner's fire is not meant to destroy gold but to reveal its true beauty by burning away what does not belong. Fullers' soap is not meant to damage the garment but to cleanse it from every stain until it shines pure and white.
This is what revival truly is. It is not an event that excites for a moment and fades with the crowd. It is the holy presence of God confronting sin, consuming flesh, and refining hearts until only Christ is seen. When fire comes from heaven, it does not flatter our emotions. It breaks our pride, it convicts our hearts, and it transforms us into vessels that can carry His glory.
Israel longed for the day of the Lord but Malachi warned them that when He comes, He will not arrive to please the flesh. He will come to purify the sons of Levi so they can offer righteous sacrifices once again. The fire of God has always been the mark of His true work among His people. In Acts 2 the Spirit did not come with games or shows but with tongues of fire that rested on each believer until their lives were changed forever.
Revival is not entertainment. It is refinement. The fire of God is not here to destroy you but to purify you. Yield to His cleansing, surrender to His refining, and let Him burn until only Christ remains.
